Privacy Notice
Professional Communication AI is operated by Usman Sakariyah, who is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice — meaning we decide how and why your data is processed. This notice explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have.
What we collect
Account data (name, email address, login credentials); profile and onboarding details (profession, communication preferences); the communications you create, rewrite, reply to or analyze, and your saved history; usage data (generation counts, feature events such as pages viewed and buttons clicked); and technical data (IP address, device and browser identifiers, and similar telemetry).
Why we process it and our legal basis
We use account and content data to create your account and provide the service (performance of our contract with you). We use usage and technical data to keep the service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the product (our legitimate interests). Where we send optional product or marketing messages, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Some records are kept where the law requires it (legal obligation).
How your text is processed
To produce a message, your input is sent to an AI processing service acting on our instructions, solely to generate the result you requested. We don't use your communications to advertise to you, and they are never shown to other users.
Who we share data with
We share data only with the categories of recipients needed to run the service: our hosting and database provider (stores your account and content), our AI processing provider (processes the text you submit), our Merchant of Record (Paddle) which processes payments, subscriptions, tax compliance and invoicing when you buy a plan, professional advisers (legal and accounting) where needed, and authorities where the law requires it. We never sell your personal data.
International transfers
Some of our service providers process data outside your country, including outside the UK/EEA. Where that happens, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.
How long we keep data
We keep your account and communications for as long as your account exists. Usage and analytics records are kept for a limited period and then deleted or anonymised. When you delete your account, your personal data is deleted or anonymised, except where we must keep records by law (for example, tax records relating to payments).
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your data, including: to access it, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent at any time. You can delete individual communications or your whole account from within the app, and you can contact us through the support contact shown in the app to exercise any right — we respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures: access is authenticated, data is isolated per account at the database level, connections are encrypted, and all secrets stay on our servers.
Cookies
We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We don't use third-party advertising or marketing trackers. You can clear these in your browser settings, though signing in requires the essential ones.
